Being Courageously Authentic, Hearing Him and Your Inner Voice

Marianne Williamson said, “Enlightenment is the key to everything, and it is the key to intimacy, because it is the goal of true authenticity.” Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s about the choice to show up and be real. The choice, to be honest, the choice to let our true selves be seen. I love this and I love the whole idea. I just learned in the intuition gym (I HIGHLY recommend this group, if you want more info, pm me) that courage is the act of, state of, or result of sharing your heart ♥️, mind and soul. It quite literally means to share the core of who you are.

Our Deepest Fear
By Marianne Williamson
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.
We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us;
It’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

I think we all want to be seen and we want to show up and be real. But how do we do that? If you’re like me, you hear the word “authentic” all the time, but what does it truly mean? To me, being authentic is having the courage to show up and be seen for who you really are. It is following your moral compass, your own divine mind, your inner voice and then putting in place boundaries to help you stay in authenticity if needed.

What is your inner voice, divine mind, or your own personal moral compass? It’s how you connect to yourself and the Divine. When you are in alignment with yourself and with the Divine, then you can move forward in whatever you are feeling called to do, even in the smallest choices, you can be lead, if you will be mindful and be still enough to listen to how you are communicated with from above and within. This is another reason why I have loved the intuition gym, because it has given me more experience to understand how i communicate within and from above.

It seems like more often than not, some of us, go to other people instead of to ourselves and above for our personal answers to decisions we need to make. And it’s okay to get some advice and opinions from others but I am here to tell you that the answers you are seeking for are inside of you when you are connected to the Divine. Then you can tap into your divine mind and be able to make choices easily because you KNOW how it feels to make the right ones. I think that the gift of discernment goes hand in hand in this, that you have to know what it feels like to receive a YES or a NO or whether something is RIGHT or WRONG.

We each have a unique way that we hear the Lord, some call it our conscience or our intuition. It’s important that we don’t compare ourselves to others in how we each “hear Him”. It is very individual according to our personality, no one is exactly the same.

Just like we have physical senses, we also have spiritual senses. And the cool thing is, we are all different!

You might hear Him through a sensation in your body, we’ve all heard the saying, I just feel it in my gut. It might come to you as just a knowing, you might not know exactly how you know, but you just know when something is right or wrong. You might receive words in your mind to do something or not do something. Some people receive pictures in their mind of what they are supposed to do, and sometimes the pictures can be symbolic, so it’s important to discern what the Lord is trying to tell you. Joseph Smith taught that we should pray for the gift of discernment every day. We need to be able to discern what is truth and what is error.

For me, it can be just a knowing, or I hear words in my mind and then I feel in my heart whether something is true or not. I invite each of you to ponder on how you hear Him and how you hear your inner self and then trust what you receive. It’s easy to get distracted by the adversary and fall into his lies that tell you that you cannot receive revelation or that you really don’t know how to hear Him. Do not listen to him. If you are trying to follow what the Lord says, you will more often than not be doing the right thing. Joseph Smith said, “If you will listen to the first promptings, you will get it right nine times out of ten.”
