Have you ever prayed as if you already have the thing youโ€™re praying for?

I did this recently.

My daughter has a dance competition coming up and I knew we didnโ€™t have the money to stay in a hotel. I was just thinking weโ€™d stay with a friend. I later found out that her competition starts at 7:00 AM so the most convenient thing would be to stay in a hotel, plus it makes it more fun for my daughter to be with her dance team friends and that is also important to me, itโ€™s a fun tradition we have to go and have that time together. And I know that whatโ€™s important to my daughter and I is important to Heavenly Father as well.
So knowing all of this, I decided to pray, โ€œHeavenly Father, thank you for providing a way for us to stay in a hotel for dance competitionโ€ฆโ€ and just days after, we received a check in the mail making it possible for us to be able to do that.

So I am now trying to pray for things as if theyโ€™ve already happened, for the things I need and for the things I desire.

I believe in miracles. I believe in divine timing. And I believe that wholeness is not about fixing whatโ€™s broken, but remembering whatโ€™s always been true: that you are a child of God with divine purpose, worth, and light.
